You need a before pic.

Great Job!
The before picture was all my tools scattered everywhere. I had some in tool boxes, some in closets, some in the attic, some in the barn, etc., I spent a lot of time looking for my tools. I can already tell having them in one place will be a big help, even though it took a lot of time to build this and organize everything. Thanks

My FSU (opposite of OCD, f***ing s*** up) wouldn’t stand for that for more than about 10 minutes. I’m terrible about just dropping things in place and moving on to the next project. I give the shop a good organizing about every 6-7 projects, when all of the 10mm sockets have escaped into the wild.

I’ve built enough easels recently that I can almost see my entire table saw, I might even be able to use it. I plan on doing some shop cleaning and reorganization before I tear into the next pallet of lumber.

Nice looking canoe. I keep my 18' lapstrake rowboat suspended from the ceiling with a winch and pulley system. Keeps it out of harm's way, and frees up some floor space.

I‘ve got one of those winch systems too. That’s my next thing to do- raise the canoe up to the ceiling to get it out of the way.

Nicely laid shop..waiting for Radial Saw comments to come rolling i.e. be easier to find all the fingers when it cuts them off
Those things scare the **** out of mem
I briefly operated a very large one when a teenager. It was in a pallet building shop.
Had to have been a 14" blade on that thing and it was climbing its way right toward your chest.
F that.

Clean set up. Since you know where everything goes, clean ups after a project should be quick. Play one song on the radio and don’t get sidetracked and the shop will be good to go

Ran, I can say your cleanup is the envy of all on the GJ. Wow! One suggestion for when you get many more projects going at the same time, or as I do, work outside of my space taking my tools on the road. I find it nice to have a dumping space near the door so I can come in tired from a long days work and drop off all my tools. Then, some days later can move the tools and put the stuff back where it goes.

Also, all your outdoor stuff organized nicely on the back wall of the shop. Move that. Move it all next to the garage door or man door you use. Our house has 1/4 acre of wooded, hilly muddy and leafy area. I leave the garage with my shovels, rakes and this upcoming season, concrete tools and supplies mending our stone walls all stored next to the door opening. I’m wearing my boots that will be muddy and when I need additional tools or a drink of water I don’t want to be walking into my freshly swept garage floor tracking all that dirt there. A nice bench outside the garage door in the shade is a place I can have a drink or take my boots off before walking through the garage to come into the house for lunch.

Inspiring!

Well, I did take the time to do it because I think it will save me time in the long run. I was always looking for something in about 5 different Places and honestly, wasting a lot of time. At least with this, I can usually find what I am looking for pretty fast.
