Well Fella's it has been along Summer/Fall. Project was going to take 3 months.(My estimate) well pulled Permit 5/12/11 and almost finished as of 11/19/11.Lets just say things didn't go as fast as I thought. Took me 8 weeks to get power to the garage. Plus contractor took his sweet time. But I'm almost finished. I hired out, Demo of old garage/ and slab and new install slab and framing, siding and shingle it.(That is one job I hate doing is roofing). I wired, insulated, sheetrocked and hung the steel ceiling. I have learned alot from this site. Well went from a single POS garage to a 28x32Ft with 10FT walls. Here are some start to now pictures. Final have a garage that can park in and get my stuff out of the snow.Enjoy the pictures.

I am sure it looks great but you did not attach any pics?

My shop took me about 6 months to complete. I did all the work myself but I had planned on it taking no more than three months.

Excellent building! Great looking ceiling. I plan to do the same thing. When that excavator went throught the ceiling, did you have the "well, no turning back now...." moment?

Yes I did, been fun and I have learned alot.Been along time coming.Really like have the vehicles in from the elements. Plus two days before some little Punk **** kids egged every vehicle on the block. Now Have some little things to finish up this winter. Have two ceiling fans going in, and have to trim window and doors out. Then 1 final coat of paint.
