I joined sometime ago but never introduced myself.
My real job is computer network engineer, in reality I fix or help people inanimate things that are not working correctly.
Unfortuantly is **** at fixing animated stuff like my kids, I leave that to my wife she's very good at it.
When I'm not getting paid to keep my employer's network running smoothly I can often be found doing something related to keeping 5 Audis on the road.

This forum has provided me with lot's of useful knowledge about tool selection and techniques to solve problems.

Sparky: sounds like you have a plan. i also deferred the raising of our 5 kids to my wife, but still needed to lend a hand especially when she asked.

sounds like you have a few friends on 4 wheels so i'm guessing maybe you own a big garage or one is in your future? i don't work on cars because i have a semi retired friend that likes keeping my Hondas working, but i do need a big shop.

welcome

I'm working in a two car garage attached to the house, no heat or insulation.
Wife's daily driver get's one side and my '90 CQ gets the other.
I could make use of a dedicated shop, the 10 days that the CQ drivetrain was all over the floor got on my wife's nerves. I'm not sure if she's going to be happy when I pull the dash to replace the heater core and air door foam.

Sparky: timing it would be best to not have her park out in the snow or rain when you take her side of the garage. i also have 2 single garages alongside each other (her's and mine). her's is a bit longer so i snuck in my workbench over there and god knows that wasn't easy.

sounds like you are pretty handy which is usually a good reason for borrowing her space, but take it from a 30 year married guy it is never easy or maybe shouldn't ever be tried.

cheers
