hello all,

i wish i would of found this site before i built lol. but then ive seen some awesome garages and that would of been depressing knowing mine wouldnt be as nice.

so i guess its to late to be depressed, jealous oh yea im jealous.

heres my story,
10 years ago i bought a uncompleted abandoned shell of a house. it isnt what i wanted but im cheap and i tend to make do. i have a family of 7 my lucky number, im not sure of that any more.

well it took a couple years to build my house. as i was payin for it out of pocket. just like with a mechanic my house isnt done yet. its paid for just not done lol. and my shop is a year old and also not done.

my wife tells me i have too many hobbies, she doesnt understand lol.

i work by myself as im a mean boss, i want it done right ,right then. oh well the payroll is easier. i have a friend that i sub to if needed.

i had it dried in in a week,my wife helped stand up walls and my kid helped roof it. this build was done on the cheap as it was also out of pocket.i usually buy a new sled every other year. say hello to my new sled lol.

i like to make furniture, so that was the reason for my shop. but i also like my toys . but toys and sawdust well it ***** and i have to be a dual purpose shop for now. its just not big enough. ill get by imo.

ill see if i can post up some pics for you guys thanks scott

hey guys thanks for the compliments, i actually picked up a brush and started painting.i have a couple hours into it i watched too many extreme home shows and figured they werent coming to my house. so i started there first.

the interior is almost done, i was gonna do it this winter, but a friend of mine gave me his old car so it took up alot of space, i was gonna leave it in his garage but i shovel it in the winter and its shaky at best. so to safe guard it get this i drove it home ,this car hasnt seen daylight in 15yrs. i asked him what it needed, nothing i just parked it.

ill have a bathroom, big screen and the like it just a little farther down the list now.

1/2 the shop is for my toys and 1/2 is for fabricating, i needed and addition the day i started movin stuff in lol

thanks guys but winter is here. and its playtime, i almost finished a 12 x32 addition i hacked on the back of it. its for firewood and garden tools motorcycle storage. still not big enough.

i originally had a 12x20 shed that i moved to build the shop. i tried moving it with my truck to no avail. i hooked it up to my van and it just pulled it with no problem. i was amazed my self lol. after moving it out of the way i dismantled it and recycled the lumber. and its cold up here so i did hack it. i even used some customers old screen in porch panels for the outside, it helps to dry the wood imo.
