Finally my own build. 30x40 MA

Long time reader here, tons of inspiration and great ideas. Im finally starting my own 30x40 garage in MA. Im upgrading from a attached 2 car. I bought the house with the plans of building a new garage to my spec and then converting the attached to some more living space because my house is only 750sq ft.

Im doing 3 bays, 1 8x7 door and 2 10x12 doors. Gambrel style with a 2nd floor with outdoor stairs which will be my storage / man town.

So let the pics begin. Im gonna take pictures everyday of progress.

Here is some progress. I staked out where the foundation is going and we got the foundation dug. Inspector comes tomorrow afternoon to come see it and then the footings

Passed inspection today, Tuesday we start to backfill. I have a surveyor coming out Tuesday to locate the foundation on my plot plan so i can apply for the actual structure permit.

Got the foundation plotted on my plot plan by the surveyor, got the permit from the town to start construction of the structure. Now back filling has began. I should see wood getting dropped off next week. I cant wait

Bellingham ma. All my neighbors are unhappy about this build. I turned there 30 years of woods and dumping area to a developed piece of property that I can store and work on all my cars and toys. I'm twice inside my towns set back limits and have all the permits. Anyone else have issues with neighbors during there build ?

So you have your inspection after concrete is placed?

I got inspection after concrete is poured. That's one of my neighbors houses. I'm down the hill behind the garage. There is a separate road to access my garage.
