Found out my grandmother is doing a transfer on death deed giving me 3 large lots a house and a 36X24 garage. It all needs work but its going to be MINE. On top of it all she wants to re side the house and put in new windows along with doing a room windows and doors in the garage. Going to build a 12X20 or so tool room at the front, insulation wood floors and walls. Currently it is block with a dirt floor and no door but its a start. Will pour concrete in all but the tool room. Looking for rustic wood floor suggestions. Thanks everyone.

Um..., just to be clear, your grandmother has to pass away before you can do any of these upgrades or are you going to be doing them now?

Good on you for caring for Granny. In so many instances I hear about the elderly being abandoned by their families as a burden. It takes a real man to deal with that sort of thing. It sounds like you stepped up to the plate and are doing a good thing. I am sure it makes her very happy to think she can do something good for you after she passes. I see this thread getting negative so I just wanted to say that.

Good luck on the shop and I hope Granny is doing well. Getting old is hell and really scary and I am sure she can use all the support you can give.

Good on you for taking care of her. Grandmas and grandpas really notice that sort of thing. Sounds like she recognized the care. You keep doing your part. There will come a time the stuff won't matter, just the message contained. Enjoy her while you can. Best wishes with any renovations and upgrades along the way.
