After many years of dreaming of my own house and garage, it finally happened! The garage is 14X21 and has some old kitchen cabinets. The lighting is fairly good but i plan on addding some more under the upper cabinets but for now, i ll work on the cabinets to make them look better for as cheap as possible.

First, i took two shots of the current setup to begin with

then i started cleaning up the mess and sanding down the varnish

and then i painted the cabinets in black, this is the first coat so far. i will add at least 2 more coats

the doors will be painted red and the tops most likely silver. i also have new handles to go along with all this! more to come!

The pic may be deceiving but it looks like the black paint job made the shop darker

I agree it sounds like a great color scheme though.

Looking very nice. I may have been content with the cabiniets to begin with though.

Minus the handles hehe

It's looking good so far.

If the car is street-driven, you should put high-density SFI padding on that roll hoop -- anywhere within 24" of your head -- so you don't break your skull open in an accident. (You can get the stuff in white.)

How do you like your Ninja 250? I can't imagine a better fun:economical ratio mode of transportation. How is the power on that one?

as for the roll cage, i ve driven on the road without the padding and i must say, i dont feel too safe. i use to track the car but dont have the desire to do so anymore so i might cut the cage this winter, its also a cop magnet.. as for the bike, how fun, no clue, i bought it friday and then at night we had some snow, so its going to have to wait till mid april or so :(

as for the cabinets, well paiting them is temporary since i might chenge them for something else but in a year or more down the road...

Looks like a great little workbench/nook at the back of the garage. Very nice! Like the upper storage area, too.

its been a while already but i've been pretty busy with the move/work/familly stuff...the usual excuses you know.... I finally got a bit of time today to go to my friends farm where i had stored away my welder, compressor, stands, engine stand, engine hoist and more... I also installed new handles on my drawers....I also installed a flag that I got at the auto show!

nice. I would put pictures of mine, but it sits underneath car covers until it warms up. But I do have some subframes getting boxed in and other small odds and ends. possibly thinking about putting ITB's on the vr. or maybe going carb'd
