Here's my black bottom with gray top... Orange stripe still remains to be applied. Going to let the paint dry for a while before taping it off.

I still have some corner molds and trim work to do and then some Peg board under my cabinets. I have a wire in the wall I need to pull out to wire up my Electrical strip to plug in my lights, etc.

I still have one cabinet that I need to get that will stow all of my loose items and the plywood is going to storage...

Two days of intense boogy to get it done before the rain comes back tomorrow...

Looking very good and I like the pegboard cutout and the heavy bag!

You from Texas? Just asking b/c I noticed the Buc-ee's sticker.

The Julian - Thanks... The light was only acquired a few days ago so I still need to get the control board for $44... what you don't see is I have 10' of wire going into the Attic through the closet.

JJ3 - Thanks... not far from you. I'm in Friendswood. The Buc-ees are always a stop for me and my dad when we ride. For some reason the Luling / Gonzales stop is always our favorite. The Pegboard was a mathematical nightmare as my take-off was about 5" wide off of my Helmet box. The Heavy Bag is my home cardio. I go to Submission Boxing Academy in Pearland... that's where I get beat up... Ha ha~!

Ahh, Luling, amazing BBQ! It's funny about the Buc-ees stickers, my buddy actually bought a bunch of them for fun and he hides them around his garage for his kids to 'hunt down'. He moves them around regularly and if they find all of them he awards a prize of some sort.
Sounds like that pegboard must have been a nightmare, but looks like you did a darn fine job with it man!
*Quick question, am I seeing it wrong or did you paint your door knob?

Ha ha... I just had a Buc-ees patch sewn onto my riding vest. Above it is a Luckenbach TX patch. (See Photo)

I did paint the Door knob. It was the standard brass one and it wouldn't have looked good. As many 'nice' door knobs we come across in demo I will have my eye out for a Brushed Stainless flat lever type. It shouldn't take long before I get one. I just picked up a really nice cabinet tonight. Really heavy and heavy duty. The top "lid" opens and slides in and the whole shelf then slides out... all of the others are drawers that only allow you to open one at a time. It locks all of the others. (See photo) There are some great finds now and again being in the Petrochemical Demo business...

Also got a nice squirrel cage blower that I will vent across my garage for summer air movement and may even try to tie in some a/c... I will paint it black tomorrow. That thing moves some MAJOR wind...

Hey, cool! Where did you get the water fountain? Thats pretty neat...

Compliments of ChevronPhillips... We were able to remove whatever we wanted for a full week from their old admin building. Our VP got a Safe door... a full size humungus safe door. He's got it in place in his Barn... not that is one place that I need to post on here. It's a barn like no other for sure! I missed out on a lot. Stainless paper towel dispensers, Stainless sinks, Air Compressor, AC Unit, Refrigerator, etc.

How about that, very small world. Dad is a higher up at CPChem in The Woodlands.

That vest looks quite nice!

Regarding the door knob, I hear you there...I have a brass one that stands out like a sore thumb but my wife told me that if I replaced the garage knob before doing the other 30+ in the house we'd have words :)

That Squirrel cage will definitely help in the summer! I have been contemplating what to do in mine other than box fans, that might help.

Well I'm sure your Dad knows Jim Huff. I have had a couple of meetings with him. We are working with him right now. We have a standing agreement with CP and do a lot of work for them. I have sold a lot of their equipment for them... speaking of having words... we have had a few lately over my time in the garage. I don't see the complaint right now I have split my time 50 /50 on my vacation. Family time and project time... :headscrat

I was just about to wire up the squirrel cage when I was summoned to get the kids cleaned and put in bed. The morning was a major head butting and I wound up at lowes.

I have a soft spot in my heart for things like the Patriot Guard and the like as my close friend killed in Iraq was a biker. I only heard about this while we were over there, but those guys who protest soldier funerals showed up at his to protest. Unfortunately for those disgusting f***s, it had turned in to an impromptu biker rally. From what we were told by his family later is that there were a lot of angry voices and lead pipes, which made guys like me eternally happy.

Anyways, about the garage--I love the final look of your place. It is not exactly what I am trying for, but it exceeds the level of quality I hope to finish with. I hope I can finish a few more projects so I feel comfortable posting my progress.

I think my biggest complement is for your use of pegboard on the H-D sign. Is that something you did on your own?

Would you mind sharing any future plans on your place?

Thanks to the guys who serve and those few who give all of their tomorrows for my childrens 'today'...

Future plans: Between the Black and the Gray there will be an Orange stripe about 8"-10". I will do some simple pinstriping on some cabinets, my trash can, and my water fountain. I will plumb a nice filter into my water fountain. Other than that I would like to paint my ceiling within the next 30 days but it will require several old sheets...!!!

Dreamsheet: Plasma TV and a Keggerator...

The HD Pegboard was measured out and cut from a small HD picture off of my helmet boxes. It was tedious but turned out okay I suppose.

Here's the latest - somewhat settled in...

Got my Heavy Bag mounted into a piece of Unistrut hanging from a cut off pin for a 4" shackle. It slides inside of it just great with a bit of Grease...
