Here's a drawing of the final product. Incredibly complicated building on a steep hillside. Sometimes I wished I lived in Ohio....then I look at the view.

When I saw this thread, I was jokingly going to post that you needed an observation tower. Now that I see the drawing, wow. That is going to be one sweet setup.

Going to be an incredible project! I know that view well. My brother-in-law lives pretty close to you, rest of my wife's family is just up the valley a bit. Love that area.

We do have some good views:

Looking east.

Looking South at the Columbia River

Looking West at the Cascades

What an amazing view and an even more amazing looking rendering of the new garage !!

I saw the title and got a little excited thinking you were building an actual barn. I was all kinds of interested to see what kind of cattle shed someone would build in the Cascades lol.

I like seeing a lot of dirt moved to build a building. It makes you feel like you can not turn back once you see it all done and flat !! We moved thousands of yards to level out the shop pad this summer and 45,000 yards of dirt to build a chicken barn a few years ago. Fun stuff.

Definitely will be following along !!!

Howdy from your neighbor on the other side of the mountains. Looks like a great project. I'm gearing up for my own, which includes some dirt moving. 2:1 slope behind 6' wall; So looking forward to see your process.

48 x 55 ....odd size but if fits the space.
The carport on the upper side is shelter for the tractor, sprayer and bins.
For resale reasons the center of the bottom floor should fit most motorhomes. I plan to park my 24' car trailer inside. Probably put a two post lift behind the smaller garage door.

Not sure if the tower will be built....waiting on the bids.

The whole thing might (eventually) be a winery.
