Let us know how the nonskid works out, light or heavy broadcast? Smooth enough to sweep but yet not slipping? Thanks, plan on doing mine within the next month.

I would say it came out heavy because I didn't know what the hell I was doing! I used a hand spreader and it really broadcast the aluminum oxide. I did the 2 steps into the house extra because of all places you don't want to fall they would be on the top of the list.

It sweeps up fairly easily, have yet to clean it but I expect it would kill a sponge mop. Not yet sure the best way to clean the non skid areas, I'll have to do a trial to see what works best.

Finally got my diamond plate molding installed. Bought molding on eBay, well I paid but the guy never shipped. They give him 19 days to ship before I can get my money back. Ridiculous. So I ordered elsewhere, had it in a few days. Still some clean up and organization to be done, but the remodel portion of the project is complete. Yeah!

One final "before" and "after".

Looks like you did a nice job on the entire garage. Like the BLOCK "M"... how about a picture of the BIG HOUSE? Enjoyed reading your comments as many of your concerns regarding the weather and the effects on the floor were the same as mine.

I opted to use the aluminum oxide on the entire floor (tired of slipping in the winter). It was broadcast-ed by hand then a notched squeegee was used to level it. I'm sure it will wear out a mop in the winter however I new that prior to my decision. I am pleased with the before (smooth) and after (oxide) results.

Your idea to do just do the walkways is a good one should address the slipping issue. Now that my floor is done I rarely slip going from the pool to the fridge to get a beer.

Tigers and Sox today we desperately need a WIN!

Was thinking of putting an old English "D" next to the M, even though they ****!

The aluminum oxide path came out nice, though I don't find the floor to be all that slippery when wet. But safety first.

I have no idea how to clean the aluminum oxiide area of the floor.

With your neutral wall color the old English "D" would look good. Occasionally you can find some bargains on the Fat head web site if you look.

Tough loss last night for the boy's.....dang Poppy! Attached a few pics of my other man cave...the basement. The 68 Bill Freehan Lou Brock picture is autographed as are most of the balls. Son-in-law and I went to the Tigers Cardinals World Series game at Comerica Park. Son-in-law is a season ticket holder for Wolverines. Can't wait to see the revisions to the Big House.
