So I managed to get some work done on the shadow board today. I fixed and aluminium closet runner to the underside of the shelf above the work bench.

Next I made an aluminium frame that will attach to closet rail. I made a insert of Peg board and pop riveted it the frame.

The idea will be that the front board will house all engineering tools i.e Spanners, screwdrivers etc and the rear board is dedicated to wood working tools.

It is as smooth as silk and slides easy to reveal one board from the other.

Great work, I might have missed it but what did you do with the woodworking bench that you built? That was some good work man!

Also, the outdoor kitchen, fireplace/living area is awesome!

Still have the wood working bench because it has wheels that are lowered it is easy for me to move around the shop so when Im not using it I roll it to the garage door out of the way. Will be doing my floor next week so Im looking forward to that :)

Waited all weekend for flooring to turn up, finally arrived today ( Monday our time). Oh well hopefully it's worth the wait. Had a little play around with pattern ideas but am going to settle on a basic design

Oaky so a little more progress.. Finished the double shadow board. The front board has common engineering tools, spanner screwdrivers etc so I don't have to go hunting thru the drawers.

Also made a little charge station to house the cordless chargers and free up bench space

Also did the majority of the floor, didn't quite finish as I have run out of tiles, or should I say I ran out of the correct colour tile. Will post more pics when the floor is complete

How much did you pay for the racedeck tiles? They are pretty pricey over here...:(...

Great work on the whole property! I will borrow some of your ideas for my little shed...

Well I'm just a LITTLE jealous. Make that a LOT jealous.

I now need to but flooring, unistrut, some huge I beams, tile, flooring, wood, more wood, some more wood, clamps, some more wood, then welding classes. woodworking classes, more wood and metal for all the mistakes, and some paint for my face so it doesn't show the green with envy

Can you elaborate on the wood panels on the inside of your garage doors?

The wood panels are just cedar tongue and groove timber that forms the outside of the door. We don't have harsh weather conditions no snow etc so we don't have insulated doors have included a pic of the outside of the door which has a darker stain on it

Starting to get everything organised. I bought and installed a First Aid cabinet, I must say I should have done it ages ago, not that I injury prone its just handy not having to trudge thru the house when you have an accident
IMG_1850_zpsc5304f15.jpg

Next job was to install some lights over the workbench. The bench is 3 meters 9ft long so the easiest way way to use the sups bright LED strip, this comes in a roll of 15ft and you basically cut to length

IMG_1842_zps01f1114f.jpg

This strip is sticky one side and fits into this aluminium channel

[
IMG_1843_zpsa411887b.jpg

I placed the channel up under the overhead shelving and stuck the LED strip inside
IMG_1844_zps443ed6d8.jpg

To finish off the opaque plastic is placed over the strip
IMG_1845_zps1bdfbd6c.jpg

The finished product.....
