Finally wired up my IR 5hp Compressor

So I've had this compressor since the holidays but haven't had a chance to wire it up and try it out. It puts out 18.1 CFM at 90PSI.

I was stunned at how quiet this thing is and how fast it filled up the 60 gallon tank from zero to 140 PSI.

I realize that my previous compressor was a Harbor Freight 30 gallon and comparing it to an Ingersoll-Rand SS5L5 is like comparing...(insert weird comparison here) I just didn't know what I was missing.

I have the same compressor that I've been using for a couple months. I am extremely pleased with it.

I also have the same compressor, bought about 5yrs ago since it had FREE shipping by truck. I haven't had any problems with it, but then it's not used everyday either. I really didn't think it was all that quiet, and thought about building a bulge on the side of the shop for it, but like I said doesn't run all the time.
I bolted it down to the floor, as it did tend to walk a little. Wish I would have put an elbow in the drain in the bottom and extended it out so it is more accessible. So far I'm happy with it and I'll probably expire before it does.
