I had ordered it about three weeks ago, and the Snap On dealer and I had just been missing each other (time wise - no bigie, I didn't really need it right away).

Anyhoo, this thing runs like a raped ape! It's still a little heavy, but WOW what power! Total overkill for a home garage, but hey - it's red and shiny!

Pics to follow soon. Right now, I have to get the Vette ready for the Manchester Community Fair parade...

Afford one? Easy! I have no life! I am a big music and tool ****. 'Nuff said.

Now, back to business... some pics, as promised, and we're even gonna try a little video ;)

Yeah, I know... crappy video (holding gun in left hand while shooting film in right hand ) and crappy example, and it's not a huge deal to take lugs off an 06 LaCrosse, but it was all that was in the garage at the time...

Now if you don't twist the wheel studs off putting the lug nuts back on :lol_hitti but really congratulations enjoy your new impact, there's probably not many bolts it won't remove

Congratulations on your purchase. Install the muffler so, you won't go tone deaf.:lol_hitti
Where's the protective boot? We don't want that red paint scratched. What would merkava say?
It's a great impact but, it's a little on the heavy side for me lugging around all day.

Now you can justify buying that big 2 stage 80 gal compressor you've been thinking about...

Nope... I have an IR 235.

And the only reason the lugs went everywhere is because I was doing it one handed - with my left hand. I wouldn't do that in "real life"

I think I will take a video of me taking off my truck lugs with my 2135 just to one up you. I see video competition in the future...

Director missed the wide angle shot... where's the pink slippers! LOL

Back on topic - I can envision a big grin of satisfaction while using that impact gun. Congrats

I think he was holding the camera with his right and running the gun with his left; eschoendorff, your video is screaming for a tripod! Got one yet?

My dealer wanted to sell me one $50 off because it was scratched but i couldn't bring myself to spend the money because I already have a perfectly good IM31

Are the new generation impacts worlds better then the older stuff? I have a IM51A and IM5100; I have been pretty happy with them. One of them is a little on weak side and could use a rebuild. Any comments? I would assume the newer ones are more powerful and lighter!

My IM51 desperately needs a rebuild. I inquired with my SO dealer about it and all he wanted to do was sell me a new one. I guess I should contact Snap-on directly?

I have a IR2135 and a MG725, I like the ergonomics of the IR a little more but the MG725 beats it in the power department hands down. It has became a substitute for a 3/4 drive in a lot of the things I do at work.

Nice video...are you left handed?

Nope and no tripod either. Actually, I had just realized about 5 minutes previous that my camera would take video. So that was actually a test run...

I would post another video, but it is the same gun kicking the same amount of ***...:spit:

I've been thinking about trading my s-k gun in on one of these. My Snap on man has one of these on his truck that is just a few months old and is a repo but already has been rebuilt for the forward and reverse button sticking. Asking price is $280 without trade in! But still under warranty!
