Find that fitting

Anyone have an awesome catalog of brass plumbing fittings? I put an air shock on the tongue of my tilt trailer to hold it tilted until I can drive my garden tractor up onto it. It works pretty slick. However, to complete the air hookup with hardware store parts I had to use a piece of 1/4" OD tube off the shocks compression fitting, then a compression to 1/8" NPT fitting, ending in an 1/8" Shrader valve.

This year the fitting coming out of the shock is leaking around the tube. Ideally I would like to find a 1/4" female compression fitting (like on a braided supply line) to a 1/8" female npt all the while being a 90 degree fitting as well. Does it even exist?

I'd put on a 90 degree brass elbow NPT on both ends then you can use a more common straight NPT to compression fitting.

a 90 degree fitting on the shock body would do you some good too.

That is what I am hoping to replace it with. However I can't seem to find a female compression (like on a braided supply line) to 1/8" FIP 90 adapter. I'm thinking I may just make my own.

The thread on a 1/4" compression nut is 7/16-20. I'm thinking I may be able to mill out a block and then thread it with 1/8" npt on one side and 7/16-20 on the other. Then just use a boat load of thread tape or JB weld to seal the 7/16 thread. I've also toyed with the idea of just welding the piece to the fitting coming out of the shock too.

So I tapped a 7/16 fine on one side of a brass 90. I had to cut the stub of the compression fitting off a bit for the 90 to thread all the way on. It got about 10 wraps of teflon tape and so far seems to be holding air. I tried an O ring for a gasket but that just squeezed out. If the teflon eventually fails I am going to try a paper type gasket or a punched out rubber gasket and pipe dope next.

Weatherhead part # 452x4 I believe, somebody correct me if I'm wrong. You can get it at a well stocked NAPA among others.
