Wow, nice work, it looks great! Where did you get the wrought iron pieces? I'm guessing it was a bench "kit", and you just left off the wood from the back?

A neighbor had a crusty bench that was falling apart and put it out by their dumpster. A couple hoodies and some nighttime camouflage face paint was all my daughter and I needed to pull the perfect theft. Actually we were driving by and they were in their yard pulling weeds. After I asked them if they charged by the hour, I then asked if I could have the bench. Some paint and new cedar and it turned out great.

Pretty cool. Once the wood weathers in a bit it'll be a perfect match.

I have seen people mount a tailgate to a wall with the cables so it was a flip down bench.

I have a rough, leftover 1926 Ford model T tailgate. Its in pretty rough shape, but I can't bring myself to throw it out. Been trying to think of something to do with it. Its a bit rough for a bench, but I'm open to suggestions. Its the bottom tailgate in this photo. The top one replaced it on a bed I resurrected.
