Finding a pulley

Trying to find a replacement pulley for my 1990 443 bobcat. Its 3.5in OD .5in ID and .5in thick. I have gone everywhere but bobcat. Ive looked on Amazon and Ebay, Napa and Oriley's no such luck. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks

The idler pulley. I looked, all they had was for rope. Thanks for suggesting them though

Try a bearing house, local to you.

If its on the engine check with the engine mfg. Not sure who made the engines in the 443 but on the bigger units I go straight to kubota for those parts

If you can stand a 1/4” decrease on your overall diameter, Surplus Center has one with a 1/2” bore.

ETA: not sure if it’ll meet your 1/2” thick requirement, or exactly what that measurement means (outer width, width of belt that runs against it, etc.)

What size v belt? What is the application? As a swag I would say mcm 6245k317 should work. If it has to be 1/2 wide cut the extra shaft support off.

If your not using the machine. Pull the pulley and take it to Napa or Farm and Fleet. I found replacement at F&F in IL.

How long have you had the 443 ??

I have gone to napa and allied. Bobcat wanted 301.87 and it was the wrong size!!!! They said officially you need a new belt, bolt and this pulley... unofficially he said try napa. Still waiting to hear back. They no longer let people in the back due to covid

I dont even know where i can go buy the bearings for the pulley. I have a press and can press it out if i can find one.

I have had the 443 for about 2 months and put 80 or so hrs on it so far.

Clean the bearing out and inner race, more then likely the bearing size is on the bearing.

Or press it out and measure the outer and inner race dimensions and post here.

I'm sure it is a standardized bearing.

I just used some calipers for the bearings it is .51 in/ 12.87mm ID x .97 in/ 24.56 OD x .72 in/ 18.38mm width

i measured the belt its .4030in/10.24mm wide so I believe this is an A size belt. Please correct me if I am wrong.

A 4" pulley will add 1/4" to the belt length you should be OK. It might be a good idea to buy two of those pulleys they might not be around next time you need one. An A belt is .500" wide. If your belt is too narrow it might ride lower in the pulley as long as it dose not bottom out you should be OK.

Clean both sides of the bearing and look for the PN. It should still be there, the marking holds up pretty well.. Press out the old, press in the new. A decent auto or tractor parts store should carry them or be able to get them. Or amazon...

Search for idler pulley with your appropriate belt size. In my 30 seconds of searching I found them for 3.1" and 4" but you may be able to find a 3.5" with more searching.

It seems like something's wrong here.

I'm finding a 2513 bearing which is 13 x 25 x 6mm thick. Could be 3 of them side-by side.

But the ID and OD should be integer mm numbers.

Are these dial or digital calipers? You should be able to measure the thickness of a piece of xerox paper with them as a test and arrive at about .003".

There are some R-series ball bearings with SAE measurements but those would be nominal also.

Could be a double-row specialized bearing as well.

As others have said, somewhere on there the ball bearing number is etched. Probably have to take it apart to find out.

They are digital mitutoyo calipers i havent found any numbers but i have to clean them better maybe ill see it. Looks like 1 bearing and not 2 or 3 put together.

I had good luck finding an open box bearing on ebay that I needed.

To find the bearing you need based on the size of the one you measured.
