Hard to say. Most often at the track is the 20 tooth snap on

At home is the Proto Big Dawg that has 45 (i think) teeth.

Craftsman 60 tooth, it has the best feeling ratcheting mechanism the teeth seem to be as strong as a 36 tooth ratchet, but it takes half the movement to grab a new tooth. Plus all the other advantages to this particular ratchet.

I have Snap-On, Matco, SK and Facom ratchets... I always reach for the Facom palm control ratchet first. I believe it has 72 teeth.

I like it so much that I'm going to order another one (or two) in case they become harder to find.

If I have two rachets sitting in front of me I will typically reach for the fine tooth version. Lots of the time I just pick up which ever on reaches out and bites me. I've got a couple of dozen rachets and sometimes it's just which ever one is closer.

Fine tooth first....I like this one more because I feel its easier to get that last bit of umph on the nut or bolt...also because its better in narrow areas...I especially like my Facom and SK fine tooth ratchets for this...Facom more because it has a few more teeth engaged at one time

I guess I'm the odd man out. I reach for my 36 tooth ratchets first. I was doing plugs and wires in my dad's 98 Park Ave today and was using a standard Snap On and a bent handle flex head Cman. I never encountered a position where I wished I had more clicks.

BTW... wobble extensions fkin rule!!!!!
