Finishing around barn beam ceiling

How would you go about filling in this gap between my two ceilings
I have considered bent coil stock (6x12x6 will push my limits as far as material
Or framing it in with a three sided box and making a faux wood beam.

Also other ideas
One this to consider is it’s not straight, considering the barn dates around 1919

If you are just sealing it against air leakage, spray foam. For looks white coil stock.

Kinda hard to tell exactly what you have but I would **** it up against the beam or is the ceiling above the beam ?

I would look for old barn boards. This would keep the old look and make it look like a beam. Nice looking shop.

Trying to explain the picture.
2x6 are fastened to the original vertical beams, the rafters/joists sit on top of them.
Basically there is a 2x6 protruding down on both sides of the beam/ceiling
I need to come up with something U shaped or similar to finish this gap.
Ive never been coil stock and I’m not sure how I would connect sections

Do you know anybody with a siding brake that could bend the coil stock for you? If so, they would probably know to get it closed up. It might take some caulk too.

Keep in mind, nobody will see the smaller detail from fifteen feet away. If you post an actual approximate location, a fellow member may be able to help you out.
