Hey guys,

Ive been on here for quite some time but have seldom posted. I purchased my first house back in December, and now that were all moved in, Im ready to start on some of "my" projects!

The garage I have is an oversized single car, built into the foundation. Its currently unfinished, with terrible lighting. My goal over the next few months is to finish the interior of the garage, re-wire and sheetrock.

The issue that I face with this is, 2 of the four walls in the garage are solid cement - floor to ceiling. Id like to finish all of the walls so that I will have power and some added insulation.

I guess Im wondering - whats the best way to do this? What should I plan on losing in the process as far as floor space? What would you recommend for insulation?

I suppose if I was going to lose a lot of floor space, I could settle for finishing the interior wall and the one cement wall my work bench will be situated on. What would you suggest for making the cement walls look nice? What would I gain by insulating these walls?

The garage will not be heated year round, only winters, and only when I'm working out there.

Thanks in advance for any help - and pictures are greatly appreciated! I work offshore and am currently away from home, but I should have some pictures of the garage up soon!

-Coop
