I am on the local fire dept and like the colors red and black. Right now my 2 car garage is painted white, but I'm ready to spruce it up. I have some cool ideas for my cabinets but would love to see how you guys brightened up your garages especially if it is red and black!

If you want it FF themed, I'd suggest leaving the top white, paint the bottom black or red with the stripe being red or black, respectively.

I have all my FF stuff on one section of the garage wall. It includes the recent addition of what's in my avatar.

May I suggest an homage to the history of your profession by installing a brass pole in some manner? Maybe make it functional by installing an airline system and incorporating a little larger diameter vertical pipe than you need out of brass OR paint a vertical pipe in brass color.

If you really want to be creative, paint mural behind it of an old fashioned firehouse so others can see what it is supposed to depict?

EDIT: Oh and buy a Dalmation puppy! (Kidding...kinda)

Thanks for the ideas guys!

NUTTSGT, I found a lot of Texaco Fire Chief stuff on ebay I want and one of the other volunteers runs the city water dept and is working on getting me a hydrant!

Derrickwade, that does look sharp, I'm just afraid too much black will make my garage look small.

Dan in Pasadena, I want a Dalmatian puppy really bad! Lol but my wife won and we got a Husky instead. Don't need a 4th dog.

akdiesel, I was thinking a diamond plate backsplash over the work benches.
