I jumped on this and then received a cancellation email. I called and spoke to a customer service representative. They had zero stock and the explanation was that they may have had one or two units which were immediately sold.

There was a thread on these welders last summer, they were in the $400 range at the time. I thought it was a good value, but I picked up a package with an ESAB 186 tig and a Miller 190 off Craigslist instead. I ended up with the Firepower plasma cutter for under $500 I think, I haven’t used it yet since I’m still setting everything up.

Oddly enough I never got the cancelled order email....but when I checked the status on Northern Tool this AM it says cancelled. Oh well...I didn't really need it anyway...but this is GJ....since when does need matter

Also weird that my order hit PP for $279.69 (I'm in a no-tax locale)... which is $25 more than posted price, but included a free ("free"??) $25 gc. The PP is just an auth, so should fall off eventually, since nothing is getting shipped to me.
