Fireproofing wood floors / walls

I just moved to my new house, and I have an older garage with wood plank floor and plywood walls.... I will have to use this garage for at least a year or two until I build a new shop. My old shop had cement floors and knee walls, so I wasn't worried about welding a grinding sparks causing a fire, but I think I should now!

I have to build a couple hot rod bodies this winter in this shop, so is there any way I can fire-proof the wood floor and the bottom of the walls? Or is there really any danger at all?

The plywood walls are not as much of a concern - the sparks from grinding or welding are going to likely bounce off and not have enough contact time to start a fire. The wood floor is more of an issue because a spark can sit there and smolder - even more of an issue if there is any sawdust or other flammable debris that a spark can "hide" in.

A welding blanket would be a start, but I'd be very cautious about things...
