My husband is receiving his father's historic firetruck, we have a 4x2 garage at our home that we would like to store it at. The truck weighs 12,000 lbs. Is there a way to park in the garage without compromising the floor? Any ideas on weight distribution, reinforcements, other ideas?

Welcome to GJ Smorris

I think that is a 2x4 construction, , ,
Is the garage attached or detached?
When was the house / garage built, , is the slab a floating or monolithic slab, , how thick is the slab, , do you know if the slab has rebar in it, , you probably aren't going to know this unless you built the garage

Pictures may help especially around the perimeter of the slab to wall area

Cool that you're husband a fire truck !

When I put a crawler or excavator in the shop I build up a wooden bridge so that I do not point load the edge of the concrete when crossing from the driveway to the shop and that puts me up on 2x12's that spread out the load to prevent problems. I run the 2x's back far enough to totally have the rig on wood.
