I’m going to put a small first aid kit for the garage. I’m only about 10-15 foot from from my house with a fully equipped first aid kit in the bathroom and also close to medical services if something major were to happen. What would be some good items for my small kit?

What is a splinter remover? We have difficulties with this. Nobody hear can see for **** and our hands shake. I was at a Drs. Appointment with the GP and they wanted to send me to a surgeon.
I use a sharp, clean, Xacto knife to remove splinters. You do need to be able to see well and have steady hands though.

If you are so close to the house, I would only have first aid supplies you need often, and supplies you need immediately. I would just have a pair of tweezers, something to wash eyes, and something to handle a major bleeding event, like a trauma bandage and a "QuikClot" bandage.

Tourniquet, quick clot, Israeli dressing and some stop the bleed draining. Both my wife an I are medics. I have a med bag in the house about 70 ft away. In the shop I carry a tourniquet, quick clot, israeli dressing, halo chest seal and 14 g needle. Its a little over kill but I would at least keep a tourniquet and israeli dressing.

My garage is attached to the house, so I just use my normal first-aid kit for most things. I do keep a drawer near my table saw for "emergencies".

In it I keep the stuff I need for a major accident. 4x4 bandages, gauze, an Israeli trauma bandage, some coban self- adhesive wrap (under the 4x4's) and a knife to open packages. I want to make sure I can stop bleeding with only my left hand available.

A roll of paper towels so you don't make a mess going inside and a CHARGED CEL PHONE IF YOU CAN'T.

I used to have several kits and they all got old and the adhesive in the bandaids dried out. I now have just one kit.
