Long story short a guy stopped by the house asking what kind of lights I was going to use in the shop I am building.

He said his boss and him were cleaning out a building and said I could stop by to look at the lights they have.

They turned out to be flush ceiling mount fluorescent, I picked up only 4 for the office area I am building.

But I did pick up a trailer load and have an invitation to come back in a few days when they clean up a little more.

I picked up 2 of these. They are about 6' tall

Two of these as well with all the pegboard clips

1 of these, I plan on using it for garden tools and brooms etc

I picked up 5 of these, some are full of various items

This is really full of cork stops

Also full of various items

Counter top thats about 4' long

About 10 of these

It doesnt look new but supposedly its old stock

This is also full

This is my favorite for some reason. The drawers are full of mostly DC electrical connections

I am also going back for another this size that is full but with 3 sections
This is the picture that I took during the pic. Little tool box I picked up as well full of glass cutters etc. Also all the plexiglass, smaller pieces

A lot of stuff I could get but couldnt get to so they are going to move a few more things around so that I can get to it.

Paid $160 for it all. There is also a steel display case with sliding glass that you can see in the first picture kinda.

There is more to the story.

I know the woman that originally owned the store this stuff came out of. She actually sent me a very very nice wedding gift 2 yrs ago when I got married. Her husband started the business 40-50 yrs ago. I worked there when I first came to this town to live with my dad when I was 15 to help pay for my 1st car. I actually dug around some of these same bins 21 yrs ago.

I believe her husband and her were in business 40+ yrs before she sold it and then it went under.

I was looking at something like this (photo) that you picked up at Fastenal today. They wanted $38 a drawer x 4 and $140 for the cabinet to put them in! I need it but I did not buy it. Nice find, You ****!

There's no reason in hell that those 4 drawers should cost so much. Someone needs to step up and mass produce these. Harbor Freight would sell that for $39...and they'd sell a million of them.

Durham makes them, and also customizes them for everyone including Fastenal and Grainger, and probably the ones pictured as well.

I am going back for more soon. The buildong this stuff is stored in is too small for the amount of stuff in it, had to climb over things just to look. They are throwing a lot of things away. They took buckets of new nuts and bolts to the scrap iron place here in town they said. I was a lil late they told me
