First Father's day present from my little man. A new Dewalt DWS780 12" sliding compound mitre saw with rolling worksite stand.

There was also another present in a diaper that his mother refused to change herself. I'll refrain from posting a picture of that!

I like it after the first few sample cuts I made. This is the new model from DeWalt that comes with a new system of aligning the saw on the cut mark. It has an LED light in the top of the blade that shines directly down over the saw blade and puts a shadow line of the blade onto the wood. Never needs calibration like the laser does.

Who knows?
Sounds like a awesome Fathers day all around man, congrats!
Like the saw too, have to look into that one. Nice that it has rollers for the wood and wheels to move it around the shop as needed.

Congrats! My 1 and 2 yo actually got me a set of custom molded earplugs that hold ipod headphones to use while I build my "fathers day barn"..I have a ryobi set up. The stand is invaluable, what I wouldnt do for a set of wheels, that damn thing is heavy to lug back and forth to the garage.

I'm digging it so far, the arms extend out about 2 feet to support the lumber better, not as far as the stationary stands, but still helpful. The whole thing drops flat with a hydraulic cylinder to help control the weight, and you can lift it and wheel it like a wheel barrow, and then stand it on end for storage. It's a nice setup.
