I bought the pt 105 a few years back and did the hf ram mod to it after I bent the arm trying to do some .188 wall 1.75. The hf ram bent it like butter. You got a sweet shop going on there and seem to do all right wheelin and dealin.

Thanks for the compliment . My goal is to learn the most I can and use it to make money. Once I can sucessfully 4 link a vehicle I'll be able to add it to my arsena . I get a lot of requests for tube doors and stuff my goal is to have a pretty known off road Fab shop by the time I'm 30.

Got the wiring ran and stapled, theres a junction box above the lift, the lift is wired into it along with an outlet for my welder/plasma cutter.

Lift looks good. What model did you end up with? Also curious how far you mounted it off the back wall.

I've been digging on the OH-10X for the extra width between the columns but I do like the extra height to the one you chose.

That is the extra wide extra tall one.

I wanted to be able to put cars on either side of the lift for storage. They will be moved when I went, or atleast covered.

THE EFFICIENCY! Did the exhaust on my truck, oil change on car and figured out the noise in a customers JK rubi front end.

All in an hour and a half haha.

I too went with the GES Atlas 10VP. I have anywhere from a 1957 vette, to a 1957 M37 power wagon up to my F250 diesel. Should handle all!!

Always wanted a parts washer, and I def needed one to clean the diff on that jeep JK.

A friend of a friend had one in his basement that he wanted to setup, but never could. He let me store it and use it as long as he could come use it. No problem! I just had to find room for it...

IMG_20150128_174628_953.jpg

Im looking to put it on wheels for him soon.

My mom had an old Marlboro banner from an indy car race we went to 20 years ago. She gave it to me and I had no idea where to use it.. then it hit me!

IMG_20150202_124759_014.jpg

Started to assemble the bender.

I took the old rolling cabinet from my bandsaw I never use and Im gonna mount the bender on this so I can roll it around. I put the band saw up for sale and it sold no problem. Old 16" delta that looked brand new.

Ive been struggling with my 7018 welds in the past. Today I found out my issue. I thought I was having a small enough arc length and I had a good drag angle... Boy was I wrong...

But its all fixed now!

Couple of the hard to reach welds I still got a bit of porosity in, I ground some out but it still seemed to come back even after polishing the surface before welding.

Its been a big couple weeks, I picked up new seats for my 49' International. I was looking to go with some cheapo 100-200$ racing seats. Well I found a hell of a deal that came with seats and harnesses.

IMG_20150207_091445_680.jpg

Like new Corbeau Ultras and harnesses for 400$!!

They are literally brand new and weight less than 3lbs each. I couldnt cheap out when I saw a quality seat for such a good price.

Also, This month starts the build of the Shop Mega truck..

maybe I missed it but whats the plan for the mega truck? building the bronco bigger?

Yep, 1 tons and 44s wasnt enough for him.

Now we are going:

-4 links front and rear
-2.5 tons with pinion brakes
-coil springs at all corners (we have coilover mounts we will be using as shock mounts for the mean time till he can afford coilovers)
-51" R1 14.9R24 Brand new Titan Tractor tires.
-Custom centered 24" wheels.
-T case and link cradle made from 1.75" .120 wall DOM
-Links from 1.25" heims and 2.0" .25" wall DOM
-3"x10" Hydro ram for 100% hydro steering.

We sourced another frame as this one was toast, we will be plating the frame and reinforcing it. Ill be building the frame with no body on it and then we will swap the body to the frame when its done.

I picked up a 51 dodge body for a friend to put on his mega frame, and he told me he didnt want it after I picked it up for him..

So we were gonna put it on the old bronco frame and do a 1ton and a 2.5 ton truck. But my buddy got a huge offer on the old frame. So we are selling the old frame and axles to a co-worker of his.

Now im stuck with the 51 dodge, I might have it sold tonight or saturday night.

...might wanna hold off on posting a mud truck build on PBB.... :shocking: not sure about the pinion brakes on a street driven rig tho..

but anyway, cool shop! welds look good!

when i built my bender i took the JD frame and copied it in larger stock and re-worked the pivot area for more bend angle, added a 3x36 cylinder and 5hp self contained from Northern Tool, and for about $1500 total had a full hydraulic arm breaker. could bend up single shot 180* in 1.75 tube without re-pinning. :) sold the JD for about what i paid for it.

Good stuff, Dugan.

I have a question for you. Did you lift your tire changer from the upper arm? I just brought one home, but the only helper I have to get it off my trailer is my tractor. Just want to see how other people move these things. The guy I bought it from had 5 of his employees load it for me.

We used an engine hoist. We wrapped the chain/straps around the main body of the tire machine. toward the top. I wouldnt lift directly from the arm though.

Thanks for the reply.

no problem. I suggest two or more people to help. It will want to lean. So make sure its stable before you slide it off your tail gate. My coats machine seems like one of the last designs with real thick steel and an HD design. I could drop this thing from a building and i bet it would still function.

Goodluck with it! I love my machine... now i can just complain my back hurts from lifting the tires ;)

These things prob have the largest learning curve of any machine ive tried to learn from scratch... So much info you need to know going into them.

Def gonna be a money maker! Also looking to expand my side business and get a plasma table. Im moving away from basic repairs and I want to get into the supply and demand field of pre-made bracketry and ordered designs.

Its like my dad always said "I wish I could own a business that was like a hotdog stand.... Thank you for your cash, heres your hotdog. No proposals, no contracts, you dont get your product unless you pay me"

The issues my parents dealt with chasing money with their construction business made me not want to own a company. But with my knowledge and schooling and the internet.... you can run a hotdog shop and sell to the world. Paypal is a wonderful thing ;)

Mission accomplished. The bead breaker is really slow. Guessing I'll be rebuilding that soon.

Mines not the fastest thing, maybe 5-10 seconds a bead depending how long its been mounted.

Congrats, youll grow to love it haha. Post some pics

I had to drill 4 holes in each of my 8 link bars for the bronco....

Sadly I still havent ordered Collets for my mill yet... I had to do all 32 Holes by hand.. Lots of Cutting oil.

Today knowing im an idiot I wanted to try and find a drill chuck for my mill.. ive seen them in use before but had problems finding one for sale...
