I know all about that can hardly walk threw mine right now lol

Since It got warm out, I lit a fire in my burn barrel outside the garage to burn all my extra cardboard and trash in the shop.

I spent the night listening to music and sweeping and organizing ****.. You can get a wheelchair around the garage now! Atleast my neighbor can get his around haha. A clean shop does make you feel so much better.

yea I was skeptical at first, a friend has their lift and loves it. I love mine. I found a few welds with porosity on the arms of the lift tho. Kinda concerning for a commercial product. I thought about calling them and warrantying out the arms

Got my old miller 135 working again, had a bad resetable fuse (Thermal).

Ordered a new 0.51$ part and soldered it in. Common issue with these welders. Works great now.

I "somehow" got ahold of a miller Tech manual and was following all the steps to check the board.

That little Yellow fuse at loc. PTC1 is the issue, its getting too hot too fast.

Tore apart the motor and cleaned and re-greased to prevent any extra stress on the circuit.

Its alive! and welds good. I picked up a bottle of C-25, I always had flux core in this machine because it was free haha.

I havent mig welded in years.

Then this weekend, after I fixed my old one I saw a gem pop up on craigslist....

Miller 251, only used for one job. Minimal hours, very taken care of. Guy wanted 1300$... A steal still..

He was 1.5 hours away, I offered him 1k....

He bit..:rocker::rocker::rocker:

IMG_20150412_203028_626.jpg

Weld was too hot, because I followed the settings for C-100, not C-25.. oops

Ive never owned a 230V welder.. This thing is awesome. I was hesitant for a digital interface, but for 1k... oh well. I was gonna buy a new Ironman 230 for 2k with spool gun.... theres someone on CL in my area now with a brand new 30V spoolgun for the miller for 800..... I can get a 251 with spoolgun for less than the hobart.. I might do it.

Now I want to make a shelve for my 251 so I can mount my 135 above it and keep .023/.025 wire in it for body work.... Maybe incorporate my plasma and tig/stick but well see. Id like to key both my regulators into the tank though, that will be another days project.

Also, got some projects a little more complete...

Bronco teaser:
IMG_20150315_155752_490.jpg

Hes 6'4"

Also fixed my bike and changed all the fluids for the first time in its life.
IMG_20150322_104959_494.jpg

Also went and picked up a new project, 2.5 5 speed 97 TJ... needs body work and the flood/torque boxes fixed.
IMG_20150330_093329_130.jpg

For 1500 with a rear locker and disc brakes with LED headlights... It was a steal. Gonna make some rock guard templates and bumper templates to sell later using this as my R&D vehicle.

I have a bench grinder and a new vice ive been kicking around since I moved in. Ive wanted to make it so I can put my bench vice/grinder somewhere and remove it when not in use. I found my solution.

Stole this from a fellow GJ'r.

Gonna have to make something like this for my bench now. And then maybe make hanging racks on the walls to hang up my accessories when not in use.

Lately Ive noticed a lot of the work im doing on bare metal is starting to surface rust. This is a real pain.

Question, Would putting up like 6-8mill thick plastic on the walls of my garage help cut down on this? I know its called a Vapor barrier, but just wondering if it was done without insulation if it would have any effect.

Just picked this up

Going to really help with the heat in that garage, 3 speed adjustable with CFMs in the ranges of 4,220/3,250/2,130.

Also got the bronco done and its doing quite well. Hes got it to pull a few wheelies, this is just one of the pics of it I have.

Also been cleaning up, hanging up all my spare parts for my international that I will restore in the future.

I had to make room because my mom and sister are moving to their florida house and I had to take back the 66' impala convertible till they get settled.
I will be restoring the car for my sister over the next 3 years. I started restoring it about 3-5 years ago, but lost interest after my dad passed. Then my sister finally woke up and likes hotrods now.

As Ive been accumulating more and more tools for my growing fabrication and offroad side work, I think I just took my largest step yet.

I was going to build my own with the same kits this guy buys, but he builds the table and all for you. He was practically giving them away for black friday to clear his inventory. I get everything for the price of the gantry and electronics. Plus it comes with a galvanized table. I couldnt say no. Theres a few upgrades ill do for speed control in the future but for now its going to be a good start. Going to be investing in a Powermax65 to cut with, I already have the PM30 but they arent compatible with the controls.

Cant wait to get it and start making my own brackets. :3gears::3gears::3gears:

Also this winter the bronco comes back for a roll cage and a new transfercase, Going with an SCS case to allow for quick change gear ratios.

I need to start on this impala so I can get it down to florida!

I have to go get materials to make a skirt around the base to keep dust away from the electronics.

I have found an issue with one cable on my machine regarding my digital torch height control, So im in the process of fixing that, but I have cut some things out.

IMG_20160113_223238333.jpg

These were some beadlock tests I made, thankfully I did it on 1/8" because I found out my gap for the skulls wasnt large enough so I changed the template.

Im getting deeper and deeper into it. I need to get more consumables for my torch tonight for thinner metal, and diagnose this voltage loss through the cable on my PWM.
A local welder/fabricator to me has one. You could have yourself a nice little side business i would imagine. With my background being an engineer and my use of ACAD i have alot of ideas in my head already.

I just checked out your build, where the heck in delaware were you able to build a 40x80 garage haha
About 15 minutes south of Dover. I should have some better pictures of it soon. All of the post are up. Should be putting on trusses and metal next week.

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Hampton-B...lqZ12l2Z2bctnt

Just bought 3 more of these, they were discontinued on Homie depots website before, so I found some on ebay for 64.50 each so I bought the 3 he had remaining... only to see home depot restocked for 69 each. Still saved some cash

When i get a free second after this weekend Ill post the build progress from the bronco, it turned out awesome and we tuned it amazingly, mofo has some balls!

I also changed my shop name to something that wasnt a joke. Somehow the original name took off, but the new name is more professional and is more inviting to various types of work.
