Just a quick introduction...

After surviving the market crash that has locked me in my current housing tract home for 9 years, we are finally in escrow on a new place. 1.26 acres with a 990sq.ft. shop. I have a decent fleet of older vehicles that I restore, race, or just drive, but the current living/garage situation has them scattered to the wind.

I'll be here looking for advice and ideas quite a bit in the near future.

Fleet:

2961 Studebaker Champ p/u
1967 Ford F100
1967 Dodge Charger
1968 Dodge Charger
1971 Dodge Challenger
1975 International Travelall

1975 Southwind outboard
2003 Aljo Travel Trailer

I'll post pics of the cars over time, but until then,

The '67 Charger:

The '68 Charger (in work)

The '71 Challenger (daily driver)

1975 Travelall:

Thanks, the Binder is a riot. It was my father-in-laws until he had a stroke and it just sat. We have gone hunting up in the mountains of Montana in it many times. That thing is a mountain goat even on little tires.

Close of escrow is August 5th. The shop is basically wide open, 30x33. The current owner informed me it was as large as it could be made without going up a tier in permits which would have required sprinklers and widening the gate in the front yard wall a few feet. Thousands of dollars to appease the pencil pushers, so he made it 990 ft instead of over 1000. It is well insulated with 100A 220V service. The roof has 6 translucent fiberglass panels that let in TONS of natural light.

I have a mill and lathe coming in from a friend who had machines but no shop, and a BendPak 2 post from my Dad who wants me to work on his race car but has no permanent building to install it in. Not a bad deal...
