First time home buyer = first REAL garage

Well guys, we finally came to an agreement with the sellers of a home we absolutely fell in love with after taking a tour. Take a look below.

I've been lurking here for a while and did some stuff in the classifieds but that's about it.

The best thing about the house is that it's pretty much perfect inside so there's no upgrading work we need to do, so we can move straight on to the garage when there's some free cash. I've got a couple of ideas but still check out the discussion nearly every day for other ideas.

The garage is 24x24 AFAIK. For now, plans are for black or dark slate Wolverine flooring, corrugated wainscoting, red upper walls, and everything to go along with it.

Thanks Rando. The kitchen was one of the things that def drew us in. The loft style and the master bathroom did it too. Not too many homes styled like this in the area and we loved it.

I'll be walking though with the inspector tomorrow and bringing the camera along to get pics of some things, most notably the garage!

I know the floors aren't for everyone, but the contrast and variety is what we love about it. We made a custom Pecan floor (had the tounge & groove made from a tree we cut) for the conference room at work and it looks very similar, but even more amazing.

I know that it's not for everyone and we used the "unique and different from the neighborhood" as part of our negotiations.

Can't wait to have the BEST lookin garage in the 'hood thanks to all the help and tips I pick up here!!!
