Just to say hello. 62 yo former civilian aircraft mechanic, Auto mechanic for better than 50 years all told years both pro and shade tree, Home DIY, self taught machinist, and now I repair and restore model trains and other models. I've gained alot of info from the other folks here and I hope I can be of help to others.

When I had my aircraft shop I worked on a WIDE variety of aircraft, from Cessna, Piper, Beech, Mooney, even a few old Stearman's and DC-3's. The field I had the shop at was out in the country at the time (no more) and we used to get just about everything. Even had a Lear Jet or two and helicopter's.
