Iv'e read here many times about how easy it is to get Tekton tools replaced under warranty. We all know that talk is cheap and the real proof comes later on.
Here's what happened in my situation... I'm installing two new thermoformers with 2 guys assisting. I go to use my 7" cutters and find that one of the jaws is broken. How it broke is, and will remain a mystery although I'm pretty confident someone used it to cut and pry open metal shipping straps.
I sent an email to Tekton support last night, and this morning I received shipping confirmation that a replacement is on the way. No driving to the store...no waiting a week for the truck to make his rounds.
Now...would a more expensive and therefore possibly higher quality tool have failed under the same conditions? I don't know. What I do know is that if I found a pair of cutters costing 5 times as much money as these in damaged condition my reaction would have been quite negative.
Anyways, I like their tools...have quite a few and am impressed that they stand behind what they sell.
