Hi guys
I came across this site a few months ago and really dig the info and journals you guys have here.

I have the green light to redo my Garage :bounce:

Only thing that i need info on is the flooring.

Rustolium (sold at home depot) has a kit for epoxy flooring.
I read up and it seems simple enough.

My question's are as follows:
Cant i just do the floor in sections like they say, If so then why would i need those special shoes?

Looks like you just sprikle the flakes while its still somewhat wet, so it all adheres and dries up together with the paint....Do i need to then apply a gloss to give it that extra shine? I want my floor to be shinny and with flakes but the kit does not mention a gloss application. Is the kit itself enough to produce a really nice shine?

I tried searching the threads but i cant come to a conclusive answer to my questions, hope you guys can assist.

Any and all responses are gladly welcome.

if you roll it all out then want to throw all the flakes, you need to walk out into it, or to do touchups I'd say. As far as the gloss, you'd want to get the clear kit to go on top, and that also comes with some silica to put into that top clear so it has a bit of grit for grip when its wet.. otherwise it's like walking on a buttered floor when it's wet. seriously

So put the first kit on and let it dry up (as if you were done) and then come back and do a clear kit?

You'll get a decent shine initially from that product, but it seems to fade rapidly with some wear. If you're looking for the high-gloss, showroom shine (that lasts), you'll need to apply an additional clear coat as Cryptic said (over epoxy and flakes). Good luck - put up some photos when you're done!

if you really want it to look like what you wanted it to look like then, all you need to do is to follow all the rules and instructions./:rocker:
