fix a floor loose tile/s

greetings,

i must confront this repair as i'm retired and can not afford hep.

this long over due loose tile and grout missing from nearby.

will fix a floor adhesive work on this type job?.. i am unfamilar with tiling don't have the tools and am hard of seeing and hearing.

any hep would be welcomed.

pls advise...

i've read a bunch of reviews on that fix a floor stuff and it seems to work. i am gonna try it this spring. I would install your tile with thinset and grout it in per typical installation procedures, let it sit for 48 hours then drill the holes in the grout per the fix a floor instructions and pump in the liquid until it comes out of the neighboring holes. Then fill the holes you drilled in the grout. this should fill any voids that exist under the tile which allows the tile to move and breaks out the grout.

I have some fix a floor I'm going to use on a tile in my bathroom. I keep waiting for another tile to be loose but it's been months and nothing. Mine is a 6" x 24" tile, about 3/4 of it is solid, one end is loose and popping out grout. I plan to re-grout, dry, drill holes, fix a floor, then re-grout the holes.

With the tile completely out I'd clean it as well as you can (use a new tile if you have one) thin set it in, grout, then drill holes and use fix a floor to fix the nearby tiles. If you thin set that tile back in there shouldn't be any voids under it. If nearby tiles aren't loose skip the fix a floor all together.

best way is too remove loose tiles. lightly tap on tiles and you'll hear which ones are loose.
use knife or other grinding tool to remove grout first. be very careful to not chip a tile edge. grind down the old thinset a bit. if underlayment is loose, add some screws driven through into subfloor. then use a good modified polymer thinset to relay the tiles. then grout.
