I had a problem with my unit not firing. I found out the thermostat was the problem. It is running fine now. The only thing it does now that sounds funny is it has a low hum when it is not running. Does anyone know why it might be doing that?

Sounds like you may have a relay that is staying energized.

I'll bet that's it. On mine you hear that noise just before it fires up.

My uncle thinks it is the transformer. According to him it is nothing to worry about. I am going to call and check if it is normal or not.
