Fixing cracks prior to Ghostshield

I have a 6 month old pad and I'm prepping for 4500/8510 and I have 1 stress crack that I need to deal with. The pad decided it didn't want to crack along expansion joint. It isn't huge, probably 1/8" at its widest point. It goes from one edge and intersects an expansion joint, so it is about 10' long.

Also, I want to fill the expansion joints. They did the big joints with the rounded edge. I know that is going to drive me crazy trying to roll around on a creeper or trying to move a floor jack around and wheels getting caught in the joints.

What do you recommend?

Thanks!

I used Rust-Oleum Epoxy Shield patch for 3 long control joints before putting down Rust Bullet a couple of years ago. Worked very well.

This is what I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0008JHBD2/?tag=atomicindus08-20

My Home Depot used to carry it but they no longer do.

I was told to get a 100% solids 2-part epoxy so you might be able to find other brands as well.

What you need to consider here is that GhostShield goes not cover or change the appearance of anything. Epoxy repair products will reject the 8510.

I would use SikaFlex in a color you like, for the expansion joints, if you fill them. For the cracks I would check around and see what you can find to match your concrete.

That is why I'm here asking!

Could I just use the SikaFlex in the crack also? I don't need it to be invisible - I just want it sealed.

Would I use the SikaFlex before or after the 8510?

Thanks!

Hi
You can use any commercially available crack filler like Sikaflex, or we carry an epoxy crack filler which is not flexible but is much stronger. The Ghostshield will not stick or penetrate it. You can fill before or after, it doesn't matter.

Thank you.
