This is kind of a "kitchen sink" story I suppose but here it goes. Last month I found an old taco cart for sale n bought it. It was in a barn and after dumping the 40 lbs or so of dirt out of the drawers and the dozens of hornets nests I realized that several of the friction slides were bent or broken..... a good friend of mine sent me a link for replacement parts n I managed to get some new slides ordered. This was the first time I had actually ordered anything from snap on and was really pleased that my order made it here in 2 days. Anyways, some of the slides were missing the stops that they rivet to them... so I call snap on and it took all of about 2 minutes for them to ship me new ones. Has anyone drilled out the rivets and tried to replace the stops themselves? If so what kind of metal did you use for the stops and where did you find it?Seems like it'd be a waste not to use new slides snap on doesn't want back just because the stops are missing.
