One thing that dawn on me when I bought a bunch of 1/4 ratchet/bit kits is, they leave alot to be desired.

Mainly the versatility of the ratchet on some of this kits aren't great. So I design a fix for the V line 1/4 kit using one of my favorites bit 1/4 combo ratchet.

Now, let me see all your custom fixes 😉. I'm going down the rabbit hole of custom inserts and boxes using 3D printers.

3D printer : Bambu A1
Material : Generic black PLA
Ratchet : Astro Products # AP023671

Fyi if you like the ratchet, I believe VIM rebrand all 3 lengths. Also MAC tools will be rebranding it for their new tool release in April. Lots of cool new tools their are releasing.

Misleading title. There have been several attempts at making the V-series ratchets less of a "drag", but no real fixes I know of.
Your "fix" is replacing it with something else, which is the same conclusion I came to.

A more appropriate title might be, "Nixing the Craftsman V-series ratchet"

Gotta get the click somehow 😂

I actually didn't mind the ratchet, but I hated how far you extend the bit if you use it with the provided bit socket. That on any 1/4 ratchet that is use a bit ratchet. Prefer dedicated bit ratchets or combos like the one replacing it.
