Fixture placement over barn doors

I picked up a couple of these to use above the doors on my building and want input on the placement. This is the southern facing section of my barn so I think the solar lights will work perfect for me my only concern is the positioning on the building.

I am thinking that roughly centered about 2-3 " above each door will be ideal since I can screw them directly into the headers.

Is there any reason that would not work or are there better options for placement?

I have three of these lights mounted on trees along my driveway and they are bright when motion is sensed otherwise they stay at a low level and come on at dusk and off at dawn.……… You cannot turn these off.
Personally I would NOT put these over the doors because it is a lot of down light for about 25’ and doesn’t light up like a floodlight does…….. "IF" you just want down lighting these are great.
I would find another location for these lights and install some motion sensing floods under the soffits that can light up the parking area in front of the doors.…… This will look better rather having one high and one low light fixture each projecting a different photometric foot print in front of the doors.

BACK to the OP question………. 2-6" over the doors would work well if you go that route.

Thanks for the detailed reply.

I actually think that for my situation and what I want to accomplish these are going to be almost perfect. I am in a rural acreage neighborhood and the building is relatively close to the road. The persistent low level light with motion sensor will be ideal from a security standpoint without ******* off the neighbors.

I am going to get one of them mounted and live with it for a week or so before I mount the 2nd one.

I have one of them mounted over the smaller door and absolutely love it. The low light keeps it so you and see things but when you get close I have it set on medium and it feels like the perfect amount of light for getting in and out of the garage. I will bet the 2nd one hung sometime this week.
