Well I have been in search of a welding table or the materials to build my own. I got a phone call this morning from an older gentleman who said he had a welding table he would sell but had no way to send me any pictures. I took my chances and made the 30 mile trip and came home with this....what is it??? Table has a 1" thick top bolted to an all 1/4" formed frame with heavy duty casters. Also has "T" slots in the top and the underside of the plate is smooth. Any help would be appreciated as always. I apologize for the upside down pictures I don't know why they are posting that way.

My neck hurt! Nice score that 1" top will not warp! Look like the top of some type of machine with homemade base. What are the dimensions of the top?
Enlarged and rotated your pictures hope this helps.

The dimensions of the table are 2'x5' I don't believe the base to be home built just by the looks of it and the precise fit to the top. According to the seller the table came from a local manufacturing company and he had the table for approximately 40 years. Thank you for fixing my pictures.
