"Flag" terminal question - Need to temp Jumper

I posted this in HVAC cause I figured HVAC techs might be most likely to know.

I need to temporarily join 4 female flag disconnects.

I do not want to cut them off, will be needing those terminations again later, and wires are already short.

Cannot alligator lead jumper them, too high of current.

And don't want to slide them together into each other for same reason.

So, I thought there was like a double flag coupling, but now I see they are just regular ones, but with an extra male tab.. so that won't work, cause they need to be crimped on.

So don't they make just a common point where multiple females will plug on?

I swear I've seen like a round terminal strip w radiating male fins... in my dreams ?

I Have Googled, no luck.

The only difference between a flag disconnect and a standard quick disconnect is the direction the wire exits. If you're just joining them loose, the temporary connection doesn't need to be a flag. FYI, a yellow quick disconnect can fit TWO pieces of 12 AWG stranded inside, so I'd use that to my advantage and with four pieces of wire, I'd make a harness with four male quick disconnects all connected together.

rlit - Good idea w the daisy chain big Yellows. One solution.

Movover - That would work as well.

I'll go w the Yellow stakon idea.. I can get them local living in the woods here.

Thank you Guys, problem solved.

Hey.. but I am still just curious.. dont they make a multi position coupling like I thought I've seen?

Again, my needs are solved, just still curious about that.

Thanks again, Marc

I was actually thinking of those first, but the ones I found on Amazon were out of stock. The nice thing about those, is you can stack two, and bend the upper one a little, to have four females connecting to one pole on a terminal strip.

Yellow connectors are sized for both 12 and 10 AWG. If you double up the cross sectional area of 12, it is just a tiny bit more than a single 10. The clearance in a yellow is enough to fit the double 12, IF you are very careful at bunching the wires and don't twist (twisting makes it thicker). It takes a moment to get all the strands in, but it does work.

I'll double up wires in a yellow in a pinch, simply because I don't stock an infinite selection of terminations. So I try to make do as much as possible (sometimes in weird ways) with what I've got on hand.

These are really handy:

The first, I've seen for automotive applications. They've come with a lot of kits I've bought, but I've never seen them stamped with an UL markings, or anything to indicate they're approved for line voltage.

The second is new to me, and man could I see that being handy at times.
At a buck a piece though (best I can find), I'm not sure I'd be stocking up on these.
