Flakes Applied, Clear Coat Applied - But Have a Problem

I applied Devoe 224HS epoxy and 379UVA clear last weekend, using a medium broadcast of the metallic flakes sold by Original Color Chips. The metallic chips are much lighter than non-metallic chips. Prior to applying the clear, I was going to scrape off any chips that did not stick properly, but simply by rubbing my hand over the surface more than 50% of the chips were loose. I therefore decided not to scrape the chips since that would have removed too many chips, and went ahead and applied the clear without scraping. Now that the clear is down, the floor is very rough and sharp with lots of chips that are sticking up, and its not very pleasant when the floor makes contact with bare feet or other skin (they are very prickly). Is it still possible to get the floor smooth now that the clear is down? If so, what do I need to do? I plan on doing a write up and posting photos after its all done.

Rent a floor buffing type sander, use a sanding screen. Lightly sand the floor to knock off the rough, sharp chips. Then put another coat of clear on top of this.

Thanks, I will try that.

Be sure to acetone wipe the whole floor after sanding and vacuuming. Otherwise you may not getting the new top coat to adhere to the other.

Do you have any pics of the floor? I am just wanting to see how heavy the coating of flakes is.
