Flakes to hide damage

Just thought I'd share for those considering flakes vs none:
I dropped a d20 transfer case from about 4 feet up onto my floor the other day (not on purpose!) and it scarred the floor in two small places. Standing right over the damage it's not easy to pick out the damage from the flakes. Without trying to find it you'd never notice. If you're gonna use your garage I'd definately recommend adding some flakes.

*sorry about the focus on the first pic...in real life its glossier than it looks and has less texture...I think it messed up the focus on my camera and I'm too lazy to try again ;)

Even a light density broadcast of flakes is a good idea. They can mask a host of sins: less than ideal substrate, less than perfect rolling, eventual nicks & dings from dropped transfer cases :))), etc. Also, if you're the Felix Unger type, a solid color really shows typical dirt and dust, with flakes a lot of that just isn't as visible, so you can stretch out the sweeping schedule a bit.

Just a half a pound per 100 ft2 will do the trick.

Ok... are you talking about the stain, or the tiny little nicks in the second picture?? Because if it isn't the stain, I don't see anything. :wtf:
