I really like Fenix brand flashlights. I have a handful around the house, a couple for work and other special purposes.

I just picked up an LD60 a while back, it is capable of 2800 lumens, and it would blow you out of an enclosed trailer.. I leave one in my truck.

APEowner I have a different suggestion. I have used flashlights and work lights for years. Generally I ended up with Maglites. When I ordered my current trailer a couple of guys from another forum made some suggestions. One of the ones I'm really glad I went with is to add low 12V loading lights. I'll try to add a pic. The dealer added the rear ramp light. I liked to so much I added one to the front to light the hitch, toolbox and bed of truck. One guy said he put in a second ramp light and hooked them up to a relay so they come on when he put the truck in reverse. Now he can see behind the trailer when backing at night.

Thanks for the suggestion. When I have the time to do the trailer wiring I fully intend to install some lower loading lights. I think it was a picture of your trailer in another thread the gave me the idea. My plan is to run a battery bank, all 12v lighting and solar panels on the roof so I never need to mess with a generator or a charger. I use nitrogen for tires and the air gun and the only electrical load other than lights is my laptop so I don't need AC power.

I probably have 15 LED flashlights, Streamlight, Fenix, Surefire, Jetbeam, Olight, etc. Each one was purchased for a specific purpose. Some rechargeable, some not, different lumen output, etc.

For a basic, simple, inexpensive light for garage and car repair use, I use the Fenix and keep a Surefire as back up. No great loss if it it gets lost, crushed, etc.

Whether it is the flashlight I mainly use or the spare flashlight, it is Fenix. Haha, I really like it. It is an inexpensive and sturdy flashlight, compact and easy to carry. I put one beside the bed in case of a power outage, and I put one in the car for night use. This brand flashlight is better than any other regular old flashlight I own. The old flashlight emits a dim yellow light beam, and the LED flashlight emits a large white light.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned, but I have been running a "BLF A6 XPL 1600Lumens 7/4modes EDC LED Flashlight 18650 - 1A" for about a year and a half or so. Only down side, imo, is that it doesn't take standard AA or AAA batteries.

i just traded in my 5 modes for these: Skysted A100 Zoomable Lens 1200 Lumens Cree XM-L2 U2 U3 Bulb Single Mode
i use them in the garage, house, and truck. i had a few of the 5 modes, but drove me crazy cycling through modes, i wanted a bright led with on and off nothing more. also is uses the 1 x 3.7V 18650 Battery that i had for my other lights, so i can still charge and go. I have 3 of these, 4 batteries, and 1 charger. loving it and i use the mess out of it int he yard and garage. dropped it many of times on the ground and concrete floor. still ticking.

I bought one of these when it was on-sale. It's now my go to light for any project. The LED panel "head" swivels 180 degrees and it runs a very long time on a charge. Helpful magnetic base.

I liked it so much, I bought another for in the house...and one for a friend's birthday who has thanked me 10 times as he likes it so much.

I'm not the biggest HF fan...but this is a GREAT product.
