Not sure if I'd want a flat black tool box. I think the fingerprints would be horrible

I think finger prints would not show at all on flat black paint. The shinier the paint, the more likely to show prints or any other defect.

But, I don't have a flat black box to prove it. I do have a shiney box all covered with prints though.

If it's anything like the flat black I had on the hood of my mustang it shows every fingerprint because of the oil in your fingers. Could be a differant type of paint though

Yep flat black paint soaks up oil like crazy, but if its powdercoat it could be different.
