Went to the Sunday morning swap-meet and happened upon this little jewel. Was in the back of the guys truck under a bunch of useless junk. We asked if it was for sale and he said yeah he just didn't wanna unload it. I understood why after I picked it up. So I gave it the once-over and everything looked good. Had a few extra slides in it and only minor scratches. He asked $150 and I talked him down to $120. Then I bought $10 worth of Mac and Snap On sockets and extensions from him too. Anyway, got it home and had time to clean it up today. It's really really nice. Only problem was that he didn't have the key. But hey, I love it anyway. Measures 36" wide, 24" tall, and 21" deep. My plan is to buy a HF 44" to put it on since I really have no other good place. And I've been planning on getting one anyway. Lol

That's a hell of a buy for 120. I would want something better than a HF box to sit that on
its a toolbox, not a god.

not a good match for the hf44 box anyway. that waterloo is too deep. the 56 would be a better match

Awesome box and a great deal! I've never seen that box before.

After you buy the HF 44" you can probably get rid of that low end Craftsman stuff in the background in your pics.*

* with the exception of the middle box

Yup, that's a great score. Waterloo boxes are often overlooked, but they have some high quality tool chests in their product line.

I guess I'll have to either buy the 56" or build another table then. Lol. I was sure hoping it would fit the 44".

Yes the cheesy handles are coming off as soon as this box is in its final resting place. It weighs right around 230#.

The old craftsman stuff in the background was the first box I owned. Grandparents gave it to me for Christmas when I was about 10. I added the center box last year when I filled the original up. Then I got another center box just like it for Christmas last year from the GF cuz I had built a rolling cart that it fit in. Plus I had the MAC top box and another el cheapo I inherited from my late grandfather. Then I bought the vintage snap on box at a pawn shop last year. Plus I also had the vintage craftsman table/toolbox.

So as you can tell it have a problem with buying toolboxes... What makes me sad is that I'm running out of room to put them... And even worse yet is the fact that I have lots of empty drawers now lol...

Throw out your dresser and stick one in the bedroom.
Dump the entertainment unit and stick one under the tv.
Get a large butcher's block top and make an island in the kitchen.
Stick one next to the couch, throw a lamp on it, and call it an end-table.
Toss a thick pad on the top, stick it in the corner of the nursery, and call it a changing table.
Put one on top of the Dryer, and call it an "Orphaned Sock Recovery System".

If you've got a roof, you've got the room.

In a home shop environment where a box is mostly stationary, it may be fine on a HF 44", just let it hand off the back, won't hurt it. That Waterloo is a great box.

Damn... You have shown me the way of the toolbox master...

I can literally see myself with a toolbox-themed house. My GF will leave me for sure...
