Picked up a box of stuff this weekend. Included was a bunch of Duro Chrome sockets, 3/4" drive extensions, 1/2" extensions, a nice Armstrong square drive ratchet, Wright stud remover, tons of drag link sockets, and this...

It's the blue handle model. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet...

Surprised it has no model or part number on it.

Model number 4408.
Only available from 1960 to 1963.
Listed as a Speeder Ratchet.
The Butterfly selector (flying V) was issued a patent in 1959.
Made by Moore Drop Forge (which became Donaher/Easco/Apex over the years)
On eBay they've been known to sell between $50 - $200.
The same repair kit that fits the early teardrop (non-quick release) ratchets will fit this model.
Model/part numbers on Craftsman hand tools were only added around 1974.

That's it, I'm tapped.

You've bagged a Craftsman unicorn in that flea market score !!

Without knowing what you spent on all that . . . can't yet bestow YS award. ;)

I paid $60 for everything but it included a lot of other stuff as mentioned above (plus more) including a MAC 5 piece upholstery tool set. Plastic tray was a little broke but tools look unused. It came in a plastic Kobalt portable box. I was wishing I had a hand truck.

I'll post pics of the rest of the loot tomorrow.

Congrats. I find it works well as a tap handle or with a ~6" extension on it to spin in your other hand. I wish someone made a modern fine tooth variant, would be quite a bit more useful than the low tooth count of that one. Or if they had made a RHFT version.

Here's the rest of the loot. Most of the sockets are Duro with some craftsman. The ratchet is Armstrong and Bonney. The stud remover is wright. The crappy set on the left is powerkraft. For some reason this guy had 3 1/2" to 3/4" adapters...

I'm not so much into rusty craftsman double box wrenches so not sure where they are going?

Also got the craptastic Kobalt plastic toolbox...lol

Oh ya, you fur sure get a YOU **** award!. Hey btw, I think you have some repairs parts for a ratchet that just this morning someone was looking to find. It's those rectangular small bar pieces with two bearings in them. Maybe I'm wrong, but am pretty sure that's what he posted about.

Yeah that mac set looks pretty awful, I'll give you $6 bucks for it since the tray is all damaged.

Great score man, as I said, I'm jealous!
