I have a friend who goes to this same flea market, he finds all the neat stuff, I never seem to. Guess I need to get up earlier in the morning.
One regular dealer who has nice stuff had a dishpan full of wrenches, mostly metric. I picked out the big ones (I already have a couple of sets of smaller sizes, 19mm and down). This kinda reads like a who's who of German tool manufacturers.
Several double open ends,
A Gedore 46/41mm
A Heyco 41/36mm
A Elora 36/32mm (marked W. Germany)
A Heyco 27/24mm (marked W. Germany)
A Stahlwillie "open box" or combination wrench as we know them, 30mm
A Heyco double box, offset, 27/24mm (marked W. Germany)
A K-D 1/4" x 3/8" brake bleeder wrench
A Proto 3/8 drive ratchet, not very long, non chrome finish
A Easco 3/8 drive ratchet, unusually long, RHFT, same as the Craftsman
A J C Penny 1/2 drive ratchet. I've been looking for a 1/2 drive for a spare set of sockets I've been assembling for the "grab and go" toolbox and this has a rather small head, fine teeth, and is American made.
$29 for all, two apiece for the wrenches, five apiece for the sockets.
Also found two pretty good Walker 5 ton American made Jackstands. I already have two of these, plus a set of four that are different brand and design but same size and also American made early '70's (bought new) so this gives me eight 5 ton 24 inch tall jackstands. $30 for the pair. Not good, not bad.
The last two Walkers came out of the estate of a friend, they were pretty rough looking so I blasted them and primed and painted them. Probably will just spot blast and paint these, its a lot of work to blast the whole thing.
Cannot have too many jackstands when you are splitting a tractor or doing other heavy work. I also have six smaller, shorter 3 ton stands, more useful for cars.
