I picked this up at a swap this last weekend, has anyone ever used one of these? What is in the pictures, is all that I got; what am I missing? It looks like there is a place in the back, on the side for some kind of adapter. Anyone have any literature for these or any other information? Is the company still around? I did several searches and didn't turn up anything. I'm sure these were available in the 1950's and probably not a lot before that.

I see that you started this thread years ago. I just found a press just like yours in my father's garage except that it is red. It's a very heavy duty tool. Did you ever receive any information from anyone? I saw one on Ebay yesterday. The only thing different was it had a sliding bar in the hole at the top of the screw like on a C clamp. Mine is missing it too.

I have one I purchased at an estate sale. Just used it to hold my Dodge ram axle while I pressed the u joints out with a hand held press. Worked like a champ. There are multiple positions in the press for each side of I joint. I am using it more as a vise than a press. Fun piece. Probably from 40s or 50s

I bought one of these presses yesterday for $15. Its missing the larger receiver to press u joints out, well that's what I'm assuming. I oiled up the screw and it will wind down under gravity, must have a bearing in there.
