Re: Flea market treasure's!!

would you be interested in selling one of the 3/8" drive flex head ratchets? Mine went missing about 5 years ago, and I still haven't found it in the garage, so I am assuming that someone borrowed it and forgot to return it. One of the bad things about an open door policy with friends. 99 44/100% are honest and bring back what they borrow....

Sell the stainless steel craftsman ratchet on ebay; they bring allot of dough, could offset your purchase cost! All those Snap-On ratchets are cool; that Snap-On box cutter is neat looking, they old style logo is just too cool!

I have an identical Craftsman-branded utility knife (with the old "crown" logo). I have also seen one branded General & I suspect they are the source...

Nice score overall, and I too want your fleamarkets.

What's that ball pien? And that SK-looking ratchet on the bottom?

The hammer is SK and the ratchet is G&G.

Son of a bee hive!!! Those SO ratchets are nice and will look great with new dust covers! The GS936 is excellent too.

Nobody remarked about the black Cornwell wrench but I will.

Same here.. I have the utility knife, but I really don't like it as well as say a Stanley 99....

I used to have the stainless craftsman ratchets in both 3/8 and 1/2 inch.

Gave them away to a friend a few years ago. Had trouble with the snap ring keep coming loose while in use! Even after having it rebuilt! Twice!

Well he wasn't that good of a friend, but he was hot for them!

I had the Craftsman stainless steel 1/2" ratchet when they came out ask a warranty replacement for a fine tooth that failed and it broke quickly, I don't think they were good but they do bring allot of money on ebay for some reason! Sell, it and make some dough...
They do not have the rebuild kits for these anymore...

You've got a bid already!!! Why didn't you put the Snap-On in a separate auction? The ********* Snap-On vintage collector and the Craftsman collector are two different types of people and markets!

wrenchr,

OT but gotta ask-- is there a model number and/or series code on the Craftsman ratchet with rubber grips. Also what drive size?

Nice haul!!!

Actually I just want one to say I have it. I always liked the aesthetics of them.

Since I have god knows how many 1/4 drives I'd most likely never need to use it.

It's hard to beat my Mac's and my Snap on round heads.

Well, from a performance point of view; you arn't missing anything, they were not made very long at all and mine failed quickly! They were a blip on the screen and they were gone; they are cool in the sense of Craftsman history and the uniqueness is a bit of a novelty! The shape and selector are something I haven't seen anyone else make!
